inspired by HOWL, i try to HOWL myself a little bit

howl
i watched it like a child
like a child that believed in freedom of press and expression
like a child that believed in a movie with a story with a bit of truth in it
but the problem was
it was all true
all true that it showed
and did not show
his voice trembled throughout the movie
and the screen turned pale and gray scale-ish on and off
on and off
it switched from motion to animation
from animation to motion
to emotion and then to hollowness
and from hollowness to emotion
it was overwhelming
overwhelming

but it was true
and that is why
i watched it like a child
a child, naive and yet corrupted
by what it had to show
images of people fucking each other
images of people smoking and getting high
images of people with glasses on and glasses on hands
images of images of vangaughishness
images of images that disappear only to appear with all the sparks flying around
images of my own face on the screen, reflected, distorted
images of people in a court
images of the actor with his trembling voice
images of the actor
on and off
real and then animated
but animated even when real
real even when animated
and then he spoke about poetry and homosexuality and poetry and sexuality
and about poetry, about love and about broken heart
about broken heart and lovers, and windows and words
and his voice i constantly imitate
his voice resounds in my head
i speak like him
i think like him
my voice has become his
and my tone his as well

i speak like him
i think like him
but my voice
my voice is meek
and my tone is of subordination
of subtle submission to the taboo
