It has been a while. I must confess.
So, I met my aunt and her friend one day in Bagmati, and her friend was like "Oh, what happened to your hair!"; "Oh, kapal straight gara"; "You need to take care of it" and blah she went on. I realized how much i hate people commenting on my hair!!! Ya, I know it is kind of sweet that every one notices that i have a weird hair that has a mind of its own, but guys, it is irritating after a while if someone keeps mentioning you that your nose is crooked and you need to get a nose job done or your thumbs are too wide, cut them off or your bhundi is bulging out, better start jogging!
I love my hair the way it is. I think all the bad hair days ever mentioned on any TV sitcoms summed up wont make the count of bad hair days i LIVE with. I love having bad hair days. Because then i get to have line one good hair day once in a blue moon! Meeting my aunt's friend made me also realize that the famous saying "Sabai Nepali haru doctor hunn" is so wrong..."Sabbai Nepali mahila haru kunai na kunai prakar le beautician chai pakkai hunn!"
But I cant deny that i wish for a silky, long hair or a straight, short length hair or a curly bob or i dont know, just NORMAL hair. Yes, the first thing i notice about any girl or a boy is their hair (yes, people notice eyes, people notice lips, people notice fingers...but dude, i am not a creep who like hovers over someone's details!) the first thing that hits is the hair. It is noticeable. right there, baam!
and i guess, my hair is a pain in the eyes for some people and they can't help feeling sorry for my poor hair. and this makes me sick. but sad. sometimes, i feel like i will cut it off, make it so short that people wont even notice i have hair on my head. sometimes. and most of the times, i love them. they are free. i don't keep them under control and i just let them be. i think they are totally me!
and that is why, i won't straighten them or curl them or condition them or get them treated or listen to my aunt's friend.
i love them just the way they are because they constantly remind me to be comfortable with who i am!
i am me! weird, unsorted, messy, frizzy: my hair!
and guess what, my aunt's friend added (maybe thinking it would make the wrong right): "hera esto ramro face cha, kapal le garda matra".
Thank god! Otherwise she would have advised me to have some face-job done!
(BTW all this is whining)

ReplyDeleteDo you mean to say that you are ununsamajik , like some people are samjik ,then there are some who want to break away so they become unsamajik and then there are others who finds emptiness :).
