ride back home

ride back home
i wondered where i was wandering
sleepless with a sore throat
shouting out his name loud
as if it would all make the hurt go away
it would all make sense somehow

i cried after a long time
under the glare of the blue sky
i cried like no one was looking
but everyone was staring

there is no ending to this poetry
because poetry is tough
it puts you in a vulnerable position
wrings out emotions that were long lost
scatters away all the tied up memories
and the thin thread slips away from your fingers

ride back home
i silently cried
in the crowd, i imagined him sitting at the back seat
looking down on me
looking down on my tears

ride back home
i silently shouted
in the vacuum, i imagined his shadow cast upon the window
silhouetting the dark clouds

is that even possible.
