waiting room

so after two hours long wait, the doctor finally arrived. we heaved a sigh and stood up from the metallic, black chairs that we had been sitting for too long. dad and mum rushed ahead and i tagged along behind because i saw no sense is rushing...clearly the assistant knows her numbers. as we entered the doctor's room, i was surprised to see a mini-sofa inside. this sight was very new to me. i have never been to a hospital with a sofa in a doctor's room (this room was shouting loud and clear: only few can afford this sight and i was not happy about it). i hated this hospital because it could afford a sofa is each rooms but no punctuality. i hated it from the bottom, up, right and left of my heart; mainly from the left). the doctor looked up, my dad sat down, my mum looked around awkwardly and i chose the sofa. after two minutes, we were out of the room, being directed my his assistant with a sheet of paper that had a list of tests and the total amount of money. she smiled but i did not want to respond. i was already pissed to add to all of this because apparently, the reception did not have my dad's name listed while i had called in myself and we had to be referred to another doctor.

we left the hospital, half dazed and half confused. my dad was laughing, my mum was looking like she had not received the whole deal fairly and i opted to laugh along with my dad. at least, this might help decrease his blood pressure.

two taxi rides, two hours of wait and two readings done, i realized how utterly irrelevant all of this was but at the same time, i realized there must of thousands and thousands like us, dilapidated with the hospital-norms that is difficult to understand.
